Yes you can avoid a Reserve (25% of your revenue being held back) by reading the terms of the contract very clearly and by making sure that your Web site has your phone number that would ensure that your customer contact you for refunds and not their bank. Nothing stops you from getting 2 merchant accounts at the same time. Apply for both and set your Web site to send half of your processing to #1 and the other half to #2 and that way you build yourself the protection. Some processors (Payment Online Inc.) will allow you to divide your processing into two separate batch files sent to two different merchant account companies and that way you have extra control and can let your campaigns, ...
