Wireless Merchant Accounts:
Back to: Internet Merchant Accounts page

Wireless merchant accounts (or also called mobile merchant accounts) use wireless devices and a Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) that connects through a wireless service and processes credit card payments in real-time.

The devices are are often used for data capture is wireless pocket PCs and mobile phones. As in the case of mobile merchant accounts, there is no need for a physical phone line and there is no need for a power outlet to connect your credit card machine to.

This is very convenient when you are in a conference or seminar and do not have access to power outlets and can't carry a phone line connection for connecting to your credit card processor for payment processing.

List of businesses that would find this ideal

Trade show sales events
Expo exhibitors and salespeople
Seminar presenters
Plumbers
Lawn mowing services
Outdoor art festivals

Electricians and other contractors
Air Conditione/Heating repairmen
